Fitness Influencer Found Dead After Leaving Hospital

A beloved fitness guru is dead, and the internet has filled with speculation over what could've possibly happened.

Diana Arêas, a radiant 39-year-old nutritionist, bodybuilder, and social media powerhouse from Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil, was found lifeless in a building's common area on the afternoon of November 13, 2025, just one day after vanishing from a hospital without clearance.

Now, questions are swirling around the baffling final hours of a woman known for her powerful body, gorgeous face, and dedication to health and well-being.

Shock In Broad Daylight

The fire department in Campos dos Goytacazes received an emergency call and rushed to an apartment complex on Manhães Barreto Avenue, in the Jardim Maria de Queiroz neighborhood, not far from a school called Liceu de Humanidades.

They arrived around 12:25 p.m., but what they found was an unresponsive Arêas, whom they declared dead at the scene.

Investigators quickly unearthed a chilling discovery: just a day earlier, on November 12 at around 7:20 a.m., the influencer had been admitted to Ferreira Machado Hospital suffering from multiple wounds, like cuts across her wrists and neck.

Mysterious Hospital Exit Raises Red Flags

According to hospital officials, Arêas' abrasions were carefully cleaned, stitched, and treated. She was also given a tetanus injection and seen by multiple doctors. But something disturbing happened next.

At 10:30 a.m., only three hours after being admitted, she left the hospital on her own without an official discharge order.

Her body is now undergoing analysis at the Forensic Medical Institute in Campos as investigators piece together the timeline of her tragic final 24 hours.

Final Posts Hint At Optimism And Plans For The Future

Arêas's sudden death was all the more jarring given her public presence. On the very day she was rushed to the hospital, she was seen on camera at a charity organization event, proudly sharing that she hoped to do more work to help the elderly.

Furthermore, five days before her death, the influencer had posted a video, inviting her thousands of followers to join her in a summer challenge.

Since her passing, Arêas's Instagram account has gone private, but not before her comments section reportedly exploded with messages of heartbreak and confusion.

Internet Theories Explode

As news of her death spread online, some outlets, like the NY Post, claimed that she had "died after plunging" from the building. This sent some netizens into a frenzy of suspicion.

"Plunges?? Pushed? Jumped??" one person demanded. "Plunges how? As in 'assisted?'" another asked.

Theories snowballed as netizens tried to understand how someone with such a passion for fitness and health could meet such a grim end.

One netizen wrote, "Anytime somebody plunges from a building it's always questionable.. Someone doesn't dedicate this much to their health and just overlook mental health. Sad for her 100% don't care if she's an influencer that doesn't matter to me, hope they investigate and if there was no foul play, may she rest in peace [sic]."

Another person added, "She had gone to the hospital and she took off on her own and then it looks like she had fallen and it looks suspicious from a roof area or something it's not official [sic]."

Sarcasm soon spilled into the comments, with one person writing, "Nothing suspicious here. Falling from her apartment building after breaking out of the hospital. Interesting."

One netizen expressed, "Sad sounds like murder to me, we should all know women never put themselves in a scary situation like this."

And the harshest accusation yet was from a Facebooker, who wrote, "Someone obviously threw her off, ya don't just simply fall.."
