Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.

Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject

Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.

Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.

Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.

Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Do you want to learn Spanish? ¡Vamos! Let’s go! Study Spanish for beginners to learn the essentials to get by in Spain. These basic Spanish courses will immerse you into the vibrant cultures of Spanish-speaking countries while you daydream about your next trip. In this basic Spanish language course, you’ll learn essential grammar and vocabulary to start communicating right away. It’s ideal if you want to dip your toe into the language.

  • Learn to use the present simple tense and formulate basic questions.

  • Explore foundational vocabulary to introduce yourself and talk about your life.

  • Gain basic speaking skills so that you can take part in oral activities from day one.

  • Understand spoken Spanish by practising listening skills.

  • Read short texts from newspapers and magazines to build up vocabulary.

This course is aimed at complete beginners. We’ll start from scratch so you don’t need any prior knowledge to sign up for this basic Spanish language course.

This taster course can help you decide if you’d like to continue studying Spanish. When you complete this level, you can progress to improver’s Spanish.

If you’d like to get an accredited qualification, this short course can prepare you for an A1 Spanish course.

To study this Spanish language course you’ll need an internet connection. This is so you can access our digital learning platform, Canvas.
